The future looks bright for this brand new Master Gardener Club from Gasconade County, Missouri.
Comprised of thirteen members, this club has some great ideas to begin their community service projects.
A number of projects being considered are landscaping around a school building in a neighboring town and
continuing the development of a garden that is tended by students of the Owensville Middle School as well
as one of the club members.
Another great idea that the club has been discussing is hosting a "canning clinic" to teach people how to
preserve their bountiful harvests for year round eating. With the tough economical times, many more people
are going to need to grow their own fruits and veggies and many people do not know how to preserve the
extra produce. This will be a great and valuable project for the people of the community.
One community service that has already begun is the development of this website. The Master Gardener's
Network is a community for Master Gardeners nationwide to come together and share their stories, photos
and much more. Visit this site often, as it is rapidly growing.
